British Columbia is one of the few places that you can hunt Elk during the rut with a rifle.  Secluded wilderness hunting and no hunting pressure allow for excellent trophies and great rutting action.  300 B+C bull elk are very common in our area and is an excellent goal as a hunter.  In 2010 the largest bull that we harvested was 348 4/8 gross B+C points and ranked #1 at the annual Northern outfitters award banquet.  A hunter has to be willing to spend time in the saddle as well as a lot of walking to obtain the best trophies.
